Cause For The Cuse’s History
Headquartered in Syracuse, New York, Terakeet was co-founded by Mac Cummings and Patrick Danial, both of whom grew up in the Central New York community. These Syracuse roots are just one reason why Terakeet is committed to lending a helping hand to the most vulnerable in the community. It is a part of Terakeet’s identity and culture. With Cause For The Cuse, Terakeet empowers the team to take ownership and action on a variety of charitable efforts.
In 2013, Terakeet employees came together to create Cause For The Cuse to support students in the Syracuse City School District. Every year, the team organizes events to fundraise for school supplies, technology, and educational resources for disadvantaged students. In 2016, Terakeet expanded its fundraising efforts by launching the Cause For The Cuse Golf Tournament. This is the team’s largest fundraiser each year, generating thousands of dollars to support local students.
Through Terakeet’s fundraising, Cause For The Cuse continues to support organizations like the Mary Nelson Youth Center, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse, and more. Since its inception, Terakeet has raised over $100,000 and helped 20,000 students succeed in their academic journeys. And the partnership only continues to grow to ensure lasting and meaningful change in the Syracuse community.
Terakeet Today
Today, Terakeet employs team members across the country. However, its connection to the Syracuse community remains a defining part of its identity. Our office is brick-and-mortar at 333 West Washington Street, and our team continues to demonstrate passionate leadership.
Through continued efforts like the golf tournament, annual fundraising events, and holiday giving, Terakeet advances Cause For The Cuse’s important mission — investing in students and providing the support they need to achieve great things.
