Mac Cummings

Terakeet CEO and Co-Founder Mac Cummings guides brand growth and philanthropy.

Mac Cummings is Terakeet’s CEO and Co-Founder. Born and raised in the central New York region, Cummings attended Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH). After graduating from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, he returned to downtown Syracuse to found Terakeet in 2001. Cummings launched Terakeet with longtime friend and MPH classmate Pat Danial, who later served as CTO.

As native central New Yorkers, Cummings and Danial recognized the needs of Syracuse’s underserved communities, especially Syracuse City School District students and their families. In 2013, a group of Terakeet employees started Cause for the Cuse (CFTC) — centering the company’s philanthropic efforts in the local community.

Throughout Cummings’ leadership at Terakeet, Cause for the Cuse and its employee-led efforts have turned Terakeet into a force for good, raising more than $100,000 to date. CFTC is one of Cumming’s most gratifying Terakeet legacies, made all the more meaningful by such rich and inspiring employee leadership.

Driving the financial engine that makes CFTC possible, Mac Cummings’ vision led Terakeet to become the trusted reputational partner for global brands and individuals. Acting as the “reputation operating system” for brands, Terakeet analyzes, monitors, and influences the digital landscape.

Mac Cummings’ commitment to employee empowerment, an entrepreneurial company culture, and innovation has created a dynamic organization and garnered many awards. His honors include Glassdoor’s Top CEOs and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year® award. Terakeet has also achieved several major industry and workplace awards.

Beyond Terakeet and Cause for the Cuse, Cummings is a supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Syracuse, and previously served on the Manlius Pebble Hill School Alumni Board and CenterState CEO.

Cummings resides in Central New York and Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife and their three children.
